Lagos is a city filled with buildings, with some parts of the city being very old and historical, while other parts of the city beyond have  been re-built in the last 30 years or more. We intend to showcase both the old, new, and future architecture of Lagos because behind the bricks and stones, buildings define a city, it is the language of any city. 

This year’s festival is a reminder of how important and significant buildings are to a city.  We believe that the more people are informed about the value of good designs, the better our cities and environment will be. 

Architecture reflects a society’s views in time and over time. Through architecture, we start to uncover and discover what has been, and through reflection, we are able to imagine futures – personal and communal.

Our theme for the year is MEMORIES AND THE CITY.
